Communication happens whether you want it to or not. The important thing to remember is that it is impossible not to communicate. Not doing or saying something still sends a message - probably not the one you want.
Managed properly, communication is a low risk investment with huge potential returns. And that requires a robust strategy and process which recognises that organisational communication is as much about role-modelling the desired behaviours and involvement opportunities, as it is about sending messages and getting feedback.
